Pat Smith
A native of Westminster, Pat is a 2006 graduate from Westminster High School. After Graduating, Pat continued his playing career at Robert Morris University where is was a 4 year starter and served as a captain for 2 seaons, he was an all conference performer his junior and senior seasons. Following his collegiate career, Pat moved to Vancouver Island where he started his box lacrosse career playing in the WLA for the Nanaimo Timbermen. Following his first Box lacrosse season he was Drafted in the 4th round, 31st overall by the Minnesota Swarm where he played 2 seasons. Pat was also a draft pick in the MLL for the Ohio Machine but decided to report back to Nanaimo to further his box career. While playing in Minnesota, he started his coaching career as a head JV coach for East Ridge High School Raptors. After his playing career was complete, he became a Defensive Assistant at his alma mater Westminster High School. After 2 season with the Owls, Pat became and Offensive Assistant for Calvert hall for the 2017 season. He is currently the Offensive coordinator for Calvert Hall and help lead the Cardinals to back to back MIAA Championships.
Pat and his wife Ashleigh currently reside in Sykesville, MD.
Bryan Kelly
A Towson, MD native, Bryan was awarded two All-American honors and an All-Metro honors at Calvert Hall and then competed with the World Champion USA U19 team in 1988. He went on compete at the University of North Carolina where they won the NCAA National Championship in 1991. He was awarded NCAA All-American honors, ACC All-Academic honors and the UNC Unsung Hero/Defenseman of the Year award during his time in college. As the Head Coach of Calvert Hall, Coach Kelly has won three MIAA-A championships (2003, 2012, 2017) and been awarded four MIAA Coach of the Year honors (1996, 2003, 2012, 2017). As a High School Coach and FCA coach for over 25 years, Bryan sees the importance of FCA to help players navigate life and he coaches with FCA Lacrosse to “have an impact on the kids as players and people and to help give them the foundations on and off the field.”
Mike Nugent
Mike currently plays goalie in the MLL for the Denver Outlaws and coaches at Goucher College. He is a Milton, GA native and was awarded two High School All-American honors and two Team MVP honors at Milton HS. He then went to Mercer University where he was a two-year team Captain, three-year team MVP, team defensive MVP and three-year All-SoCon 2nd Team. Mike has coached travel lacrosse with LB3 and Copperheads and also served as the Goalie Coordinator for DOCO Lacrosse in Denver, CO. In his first year, he coaches with FCA Lacrosse to “grow the game and spread his passion of the sport to youth while teaching them a good understanding for the morality and life beyond lacrosse.”
